What is Biblical Counseling?

Biblical counseling is strictly using the sound doctrine of the Bible, the teachings of Jesus Christ. No drugs are used, nor hypnosis. We recommend that any Christian literature/resources be very carefully aligned with God's Word of truth and they do not water down or manipulate scripture by taking it out of context.

How much does it cost?

This is a love offering based ministry. You will never be asked to pay any amount for the Counseling you receive, though it would be very gratefully received. If you feel led to give a love offering, then you are free to give according to your heart.

Though we are quick to recognize when someone else is struggling or has problems, true healing and restoration can only occur when they are seeking counsel. I would love to help but counseling is something that they need to sign up for themselves when they reach a point of being "sick and tired of being sick and tired".

Where will we meet?

Counseling will occur in my home office in the Northeast Houston area.

Who will be there?

You and I will be in the office. If you are a woman, my wife/mom or another female (who have also been through this counseling) will also be present in the home and readily available but not in the office with us.

How long will it take?

Most Counseling sessions take just a few 8-hour days (meals will be provided) along with a few weeks of follow-up visits/phone calls. There will also be homework assignments that will be completed on your own time.

What makes you qualified?

I have a bachelor’s degree in biblical counseling, have mentored under Dr. Joe E Allbright and attended over 200 hours of his workshops. Additionally, I have seen and experienced the counseling firsthand in myself, my wife and closest family members.

Will our sessions be confidential?

Absolutely; anything that is revealed through the counseling stays in that room. This ministry is run by myself and my wife so she will know some essential details that would benefit the counselee, but she will not be in the room. I may take notes during the sessions but those will be only for reference for my ears and eyes. I will hold onto your file for 1 year after we complete counseling and after that will shred it in its entirety.
